Twins' Kyle Garlick: Clears waivers, sent to Triple-A

Garlick cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A St. Paul by the Twins on Tuesday.

Garlick will be invited to major-league spring training. The soon-to-be 31-year-old boasts a career .839 OPS against left-handed pitching, so he could still have a short-side platoon role at some point down the road.
