The White Sox selected Volchko with the No. 77 overall pick in the 2026 First-Year Player Draft.
Volchko has touched triple digits with his fastball, but the pitch is said to be lacking life, with limited cutting action. However, the right-hander's slider gives him at least one potentially plus secondary offering.
