Cousin cleared waivers Saturday and was outrighted to Double-A Birmingham.
Cousin will officially remain in the White Sox's farm system after being pushed off the 40-man roster Tuesday. The 26-year-old righty allowed four runs in nine innings at Double-A last year and has yet to pitch this season.
