Koerner was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
Contrary to a previous report, Koerner remained with the major-league club across the last several days and made a relief appearance in Friday's win over the Twins. He allowed no hits and a walk while striking out one in a scoreless inning but will now head back to the minor-league club, where he's recorded a 2.95 ERA and 1.26 WHIP in 61 innings across 16 appearances (13 starts) this year.
