  • Mariners' Randy Arozarena: Delivers walk-off two-run homer

Arozarena went 3-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and a walk in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Arozarena played the part of hero, cranking a walk-off two-run shot Saturday. Additionally, it was the outfielder's first multi-homer game of the season and the ninth of his career. Through 526 plate appearances, Arozarena is slashing a healthy .275/.369/.463 with 19 homers, 26 doubles, 57 RBI, 20 stolen bases and 83 runs scored.

  • Max Schuemann LF | NYY

Yankees' Max Schuemann: Back in minors

The Yankees optioned Schuemann to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Saturday's game against Toronto.

Schuemann was brought up from Triple-A on Friday to make up for the loss of Ryan McMahon (thumb) but will now head back to the minors in preparation for Cody Bellinger's (hamstring) return from the IL on Sunday. Schuemann has slashed .194/.333/.361 across 87 plate appearances in the big leagues this season and will likely spend most of what's left of the year with the RailRiders.

  • Wade Meckler LF | LAA

Angels' Wade Meckler: Moves to concussion IL

The Angels placed Meckler on the 7-day concussion IL, retroactive to Aug. 21, on Saturday.

Meckler was hit on the head by a pitch Thursday and didn't play Friday. He's been diagnosed with a concussion and will have to clear MLB's concussion protocol before being able to return to action. The Angels recalled Christian Moore and Gustavo Campero from Triple-A Salt Lake to provide outfield/infield depth with both Meckler and Nolan Schanuel (side, 10-day IL) sidelined for at least the short term.

  • Angels' Gustavo Campero: Called up for first time in 2026

The Angels recalled Campero from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Campero began the season in the minors and missed over a month of action due to a fractured right hand. He returned to the field in late July and is now getting a look with the big-league club after Wade Meckler landed on the 7-day concussion IL. Campero has thrived across three major-league levels this season, slashing .313/.389/.914 with 13 homers, 54 RBI and 12 steals over 69 contests, though he mostly struggled during his time with the big-league club last year, posting a .618 OPS with three home runs, eight RBI and four stolen bases across 66 plate appearances. Campero is starting in left field and batting sixth against Texas on Saturday, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register.

  • Angels' Christian Moore: Back in big leagues

The Angels recalled Moore from Triple-A Salt Lake on Saturday.

Outfielder Gustavo Campero was also recalled from Salt Lake, while Nolan Schanuel (side) was placed on the 10-day IL and Wade Meckler landed on the 7-day concussion IL. This will be Moore's second big-league stint this season; in his first call-up during the second half of June, he slashed .200/.227/.200 with a 1:11 BB:K over 22 plate appearances. Moore played mostly in left field at that time, but he's starting at second base and batting eighth Saturday, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register.

  • Royals' Isaac Collins: Taking seat Saturday

Collins isn't in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Tigers.

Collins has tallied a hit in each of his last two games, but the Royals will keep him on the bench to begin Saturday's contest. Tyler Tolbert will fill in as Kansas City's left fielder and bat eighth.

  • Blue Jays' Davis Schneider: Sent back to minors

The Blue Jays optioned Schneider to Triple-A Buffalo on Saturday.

Just one day after joining the major-league roster, Schneider will be sent back to Triple-A to make room for Vladimir Guerrero (concussion), who returned from the injured list in a corresponding move. The 27-year-old Schneider has slashed just .142/.295/.274 across 140 plate appearances in the majors this season, but he boasts an .894 OPS at Buffalo.

  • Kyle Isbel CF | KC

Royals' Kyle Isbel: Clubs fifth homer

Isbel went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional RBI in Friday's 5-2 win over the Tigers.

Isbel connected on a solo homer in the fifth inning before adding an RBI double in the eighth frame. Since returning from a nearly two-month stint on the injured list due to a Grade 3 tear of his left plantar fascia, the center fielder is slashing .200/.229/.356 with two homers, eight RBI and six runs across 15 contests. Overall, Isbel is hitting .234/.283/.354 with five homers, 19 RBI, 22 runs and five stolen bases in 71 games.

  • Cody Bellinger LF | NYY

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Set to return Sunday

Bellinger (hamstring) will return from the injured list Sunday, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Manager Aaron Boone suggested earlier in the week that Bellinger could return to the Yankees' lineup by the end of the weekend, and the 31-year-old outfielder confirmed Saturday that he will do so. Bellinger went 1-for-6 with a strikeout in the two rehab games he played at Triple-A but had been on fire at the plate before getting injured, slashing .372/.438/.465 across his last dozen games. He figures to immediately reclaim his role as New York's primary left fielder.

  • Wyatt Langford LF | TEX

Rangers' Wyatt Langford: Delivers tying run

Langford went 1-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 2-1 extra-inning win over the Angels.

Langford delivered the tying run in the bottom of the 10th inning with a two-out double and then scored the winning run in the Rangers' walk-off win. August has been a cruel month for Langford, who is batting .154 (10-for-65) with four RBI over his last 19 games.
