  • Cole Carrigg CF | COL

Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Lifts eighth homer in loss

Carrigg went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 8-7 loss to San Diego.

Carrigg crushed an elevated fastball from Bradgley Rodriguez over the right-field wall for a solo homer in the seventh inning. In September, the switch hitter is slashing .265/.280/.469 with two homers, four RBI, five runs and a stolen base across 12 contests. Overall, the 24-year-old rookie is hitting .261/.331/.444 with eight homers, 40 RBI, 43 runs and nine stolen bases in 81 games.

  • Jake McCarthy LF | COL

Rockies' Jake McCarthy: Tallies 10th triple

McCarthy went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 8-7 loss to the Padres.

McCarthy collected a pair of extra-base hits, with the outfielder's two-RBI triple in the sixth inning being his 10th three-bagger of the campaign. The 29-year-old has hit safely in all 12 games so far in September, tallying six multi-hit efforts during that stretch. It's been a breakout 2026 for McCarthy in his first season with the Rockies, as he's slashing .296/.340/.486 with 15 homers, 80 RBI, 73 runs and 29 stolen bases in 135 contests.

  • Braves' Mike Yastrzemski: Swats 10th homer

Yastrzemski went 1-for-1 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 7-3 loss to the Cubs.

Yastrzemski ended a 23-game power drought with the homer. In that span, he went 12-for-59 (.203) with two doubles and no RBI. The outfielder's poor performance lately has led to him slipping into a part-time role, though he has hit safely in three of his last four games. He's batting .231 with a .699 OPS, 10 homers, 36 RBI, 47 runs scored, 18 doubles, one triple and one stolen base over 373 plate appearances this season.

  • Cubs' Pete Crow-Armstrong: Another MVP performance in win

Crow-Armstrong went 4-for-5 with a double, a home run and four total RBI in Monday's 7-3 win over Atlanta. He also stole a base.

The superstar outfielder came into the contest in a mini 0-for-8 slump over his last two games, but he bounced back in a big way and showed why he's the frontrunner for National League MVP. Crow-Armstrong has already recorded new career highs with 42 home runs and 37 stolen bases, and he'll register the first 40-40 campaign in Cubs' history and just the seventh in MLB history if he swipes three more bags over his team's final 11 games. The 24-year-old is a truly elite fantasy option who still has room for growth as his career progresses.

  • Pirates' Jhostynxon Garcia: Returns from IL

Garcia (undisclosed) was activated from the 7-day injured list Wednesday.

Garcia made three rehab appearances at High-A Greensboro in early September, and he's since been given the green light to return to action at Triple-A Indianapolis. He's gone 4-for-14 with a home run and three runs in four games since his return from the IL.

  • Samad Taylor LF | SD

    Padres' Samad Taylor: Idle Monday

Taylor is not in the Padres' starting lineup against the Rockies on Monday.

Taylor will be on the bench for Monday's contest while Dustin Harris starts in left field and bats fifth. Taylor has gone 5-for-14 with two steals and three runs scored over his last four games and has a .775 OPS with nine steals, 11 RBI and five extra-base hits across 137 plate appearances this season.

  • Diamondbacks' Ryan Waldschmidt: Out of lineup again Monday

Waldschmidt is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins.

It's the second straight day that Waldschmidt has been absent from the Diamondbacks' lineup with a righty on the mound for the opposiiton. Lars Nootbaar is in left field and Jordan Lawlar is in center field for Arizona.

  • Jesus Sanchez DH | ARI

Diamondbacks' Jesus Sanchez: Claimed by Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks claimed Sanchez off waivers from the Blue Jays on Monday, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

The Diamondbacks will take on the $6.8 million remaining of Sanchez's 2026 salary, and they'll retain his rights for 2027 as well, though he is a likely non-tender candidate. Sanchez has slashed .260/.318/.416 with eight home runs over 99 contests this season and will provide manager Torey Lovullo with another option in left field and at designated hitter.

  • Jung Hoo Lee RF | SF

Giants' Jung Hoo Lee: Sitting versus southpaw

Lee is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest in St. Louis.

The left-handed-swinging Lee typically starts against most southpaws, but he will begin Monday's game on the bench as the Cardinals send lefty Quinn Mathews to the hill. Scott Bandura will play right field for the Giants.

  • Bryan Torres LF | STL

Cardinals' Bryan Torres: Sitting out against righty

Torres is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Giants.

Torres had made nine straight starts against right-handed pitching, but he'll exit the lineup as the Giants send righty Landen Roupp to the bump. Thomas Saggese will handle second base and bat leadoff for St. Louis.
