  • Dodgers' Teoscar Hernandez: Logs third steal

Hernandez went 3-for-5 with a double and a stolen base in Wednesday's 8-6, extra-inning loss to the Cardinals.

Hernandez has four multi-hit efforts over his last seven games, going 10-for-28 (.357) in that span. However, the outfielder has just two extra-base hits during that stretch. He's batting .253 with a .712 OPS, 12 homers, three steals, 46 RBI, 53 runs scored, 15 doubles and one triple over 103 contests. Hernandez continues to see the bulk of the playing time in left field for the Dodgers.

  • Thomas Saggese SS | STL

Cardinals' Thomas Saggese: Stays hot Wednesday

Saggese went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional RBI and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6, extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Saggese got the Cardinals on the board in the sixth inning with his third homer of the series. He also logged multiple hits for the third game in a row. Saggese's hot bat upon his promotion from Triple-A Memphis in late August, coupled with the Cardinals' infield injury woes, has allowed him to take on a starting role at shortstop for now. On the year, he's batting .239 with a .712 OPS, four homers, 10 RBI, 16 runs scored, two doubles, one triple and one stolen base over 36 contests.

  • Cody Bellinger LF | NYY

Yankees' Cody Bellinger: Adds three more hits

Bellinger went 3-for-5 with one RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 6-3 extra-inning win over the Angels.

Bellinger has back-to-back three-hit games to start September, and he's logged multiple hits in four straight contests. The outfielder is giving it a good effort to finish the regular season strong, especially if he can sustain this momentum throughout the rest of the campaign. He's batting .267 with a .769 OPS, 12 home runs, 60 RBI, 61 runs scored, 22 doubles, three triples and 10 stolen bases across 113 contests.

  • Tristan Peters CF | CHW

White Sox's Tristan Peters: Shows some speed in loss

Peters went 2-for-3 with a triple and a stolen base in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the Astros.

Peters had a five-game homer streak in late August, but since it ended, he's cooled off by going just 4-for-18 with one extra-base hit over his last six games. The outfielder was able to provide a little speed boost in this contest, though that hasn't been a steady part of his production throughout the year. He's 8-for-10 on the basepaths this year while hitting .279 with an .813 OPS, 12 home runs, 52 RBI, 54 runs scored, 27 doubles and four triples over 134 contests.

  • Daulton Varsho CF | HOU

Astros' Daulton Varsho: Swipes bag in win

Varsho went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's 2-0 win over the White Sox.

Varsho had gone 0-for-11 over his previous three games. The outfielder was given some rest Tuesday and broke the short slump in Wednesday's contest while picking up his first steal since Aug. 5. Between Houston and Toronto this year, Varsho is batting .228 with a .653 OPS, 10 home runs, 11 steals, 36 RBI, 46 runs scored, 22 doubles and two triples over 125 contests.

  • Jake McCarthy LF | COL

Rockies' Jake McCarthy: On base three times

McCarthy went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, a walk and an RBI on Wednesday.

McCarthy did most of his damage in the third inning when he pulled a triple into the right-center field gap to drive in a run. He later added a double, giving him consecutive games with an extra-base hit. McCarthy also has at least one hit in 11 of his last 12 games, during which he's gone 15-for-51 (.294 average) with one home run, four RBI, three runs scored and four stolen bases.

  • Cole Carrigg CF | COL

Rockies' Cole Carrigg: Collects three hits

Carrigg went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Orioles.

Carrigg was out of the lineup for consecutive games to end August due to an inappropriate interaction with a fan, but he's regained his starting position for the last two games. He also entered Wednesday's contest in a significant slump, collecting only four hits across 37 at-bats with two RBI and three runs scored in his last 10 games. However, Carrigg delivered in a big way during the series finale versus Baltimore, doubling to left field before coming around to score the game-tying run in the ninth inning.

  • Bryan Reynolds LF | PIT

Pirates' Bryan Reynolds: Another strong night

Reynolds went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored Wednesday against the Giants.

Reynolds produced only five RBI and 14 runs scored across 27 games in August, but he's turned in consecutive strong performances to begin the Pirates' current homestand. In those two contests, he's gone 3-for-10 with five runs scored and a double. Reynolds has scored 94 runs this season, already setting a career high.

  • Max Clark CF | DET

Tigers' Max Clark: Tallies three doubles in win

Clark went 3-for-4 with two walks, three doubles, an RBI and three runs scored in Wednesday's 11-6, extra-innings win over the Twins.

Clark came into the contest batting just .179 in his previous 10 games, but he broke out of his slump in a big way Wednesday. The rookie outfielder became the first Detroit player with three doubles in a game since Miguel Cabrera back in 2018. Clark has been a bit up and down since making his MLB debut back on July 31, though the 21-year-old has certainly flashed signs of his immense potential with a .766 OPS through his first 30 contests.

  • Turner Hill LF | SF

Giants' Turner Hill: Drives in game-winning run

Hill went 1-for-4 with two RBI during the Giants' 5-4, extra-inning win over the Pirates on Wednesday.

The Giants scored two runs in the 10th inning, the second coming off the bat of Hill on a sacrifice fly that ended up being the game-winning run after the Pirates scored one of their own in the bottom of the frame. Hill has driven in two runs in three of his last five games and is up to 11 RBI with an .856 OPS across 52 plate appearances since making his major-league debut Aug. 15.
