Brewers' Jake Bauers: Settles with Brewers

The Brewers and Bauers avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Friday.

Per Jon Heyman of the New York Post, the deal is for $2.7 million. Bauers re-signed with the Brewers on a minor-league deal last offseason before slashing .235/.353/.399 with seven home runs over 85 regular-season contests. The left-handed-hitting Bauers should see semi-regular reps between first base, left field and designated hitter against right-handed pitching in 2026.

  • Eli White CF | ATL

Braves' Eli White: Avoids arbitration with Atlanta

Atlanta and White avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Friday.

White will get a little raise in his first year of arbitration eligibility. The speedy outfielder slashed .234/.270/.406 with 10 home runs and 10 stolen bases over 105 games with the big club in 2025. The right-handed-hitting White had a .736 OPS versus left-handed pitching this past season and could see some starts versus southpaws in 2026.

  • Joey Wentz SP | ATL

Braves' Joey Wentz: Settles with Atlanta

Atlanta and Wentz avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Friday.

Wentz showed some flashes after being claimed off waivers from Minnesota in 2025, finishing with a 4.92 ERA and 64:23 K:BB over 64 innings with Atlanta. The left-hander will compete for a spot in the rotation in spring training but could ultimately settle into a long relief role.

  • Mauricio Dubon 2B | ATL

    Braves' Mauricio Dubon: Avoids arbitration

Atlanta and Dubon avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year contract Friday.

Jon Heyman of the New York Post says the deal is worth $6.1 million. Dubon was acquired via trade from the Astros earlier this week and is tentatively slated to open 2026 as Atlanta's starting shortstop. However, further roster additions could push the 31-year-old to a utility role.

  • Vidal Brujan 2B | ATL

Braves' Vidal Brujan: Re-signs to split contract

Brujan (hip) signed a one-year split contract with Atlanta on Thursday.

The split contract is a minor-league deal that will allow Brujan to get a higher salary whenever he's on the major-league roster. The utility man had been a non-tender candidate prior to agreeing to the contract Thursday. Brujan ended the 2025 campaign dealing with a hip injury, but it isn't expected to linger into spring training.

  • Yohan Ramirez RP | PIT

    Pirates' Yohan Ramirez: Avoids arbitration

Ramirez and the Pirates agreed to a one-year, $825,000 contract Thursday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Ramirez had been looking at arbitration if he and Pittsburgh had not been able to agree upon a deal. The Dominican reliever appeared in 24 games with the Pirates in 2025, posting a 5.40 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 45:16 K:BB over 33.1 innings while notching one hold and a 3-3 record.

  • Jack Suwinski CF | PIT

Pirates' Jack Suwinski: Avoids arbitration with Pirates

Suwinski signed a one-year, $1.25 million contract with the Pirates on Thursday, avoiding arbitration, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Suwinski struggled to get in a groove at the plate in the majors in 2025, finishing the season with just a .534 OPS through 178 plate appearances. He turned in a .954 OPS across 230 plate appearances at Triple-A Indianapolis, however, which was good enough to earn him a $465,000 raise and another year in the organization. The 27-year-old finished the year as Pittsburgh's primary left fielder but is sure to face some competition during spring training.

  • Danny Young RP | ATL

Mets' Danny Young: To be non-tendered

The Mets are expected to non-tender Young (elbow), Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Young gave up four earned runs over 8.1 innings with the Mets in 2025 before undergoing Tommy John surgery in May, which will likely keep him out through the first half of the 2026 season. The 31-year-old will become a free agent once the transaction is official.

  • Evan McKendry SP | CHW

Marlins' Evan McKendry: Gets MiLB deal from Marlins

The Marlins signed McKendry to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training Wednesday, his agent, Gavin Kahn, reports.

McKendry spent the 2025 season at the Triple-A level between the Brewers and White Sox organizations, putting up a 5.15 ERA and 57:18 K:BB over 80.1 innings. Slated to turn 28 in February, McKendry has no experience in the majors and is likely to begin the 2026 campaign at Triple-A Jacksonville.

Padres' Pablo Reyes: Gets minors deal from San Diego

The Padres signed Reyes to a minor-league contract Nov. 6.

Reyes had a .468 OPS in 24 games with the Yankees in 2025 but spent most of the season at Triple-A Syracuse in the Mets organization. The 32-year-old is a career .245/.305/.342 hitter across parts of seven major-league seasons and will provide the Padres with some utility depth at Triple-A El Paso.
