Abdel Nader: Let go by Phoenix

The Suns waived Nader (knee) on Thursday, Gerald Bourguet of GoPHNX.com reports.

Nader was cast off the 15-man roster after Phoenix needed to open up a spot for Aaron Holiday, who was acquired from the Wizards in a deal executed shortly before the trade deadline. The 28-year-old Nader hadn't appeared in a game for Phoenix since Nov. 19 while contending with a right knee injury that left him without a clear timeline for a return. Once healthy, Nader will look to catch on with another NBA team.
