Heat's Dru Smith: Joins Heat's summer team

Smith agreed Friday to play for the Heat's summer league team, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Smith had a strong final collegiate season at Missouri in 2020-2, averaging 14.3 points, 3.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 steals. The 6-foot-3 guard will look to impress in the summer league in order to earn an Exhibit 10 or two-way contract from the Heat or another team in advance of NBA training camps.
