The Hornets assigned Jones to the G League's Greensboro Swarm on Wednesday.
Charlotte sent all three of the rookies on its 15-man roster -- Jones, first-round selection James Bouknight and second-round pick JT Thor -- to the G League ahead of the Swarm's game Friday against the Lakeland Magic. Jones has made just four appearances at the NBA level in 2021-22, logging five minutes in total.
