Ridnour announced his retirement from pro basketball Tuesday, David Rasbach of the Bellingham Herald reports.
After being traded an incredible four times last offseason, Ridnour decided to sit out the 2015-16 season to evaluate his future in the league, and evidently came to the conclusion that he no longer wished to keep his career going. Now 35 years old, Ridnour likely would have only served as a third-string point guard had he decided to return to the NBA. The former first-round pick wraps up his 12-year career with averages of 9.3 points, 4.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds over 830 games with the Sonics, Bucks, Timberwolves, Hornets and Magic.
