Jones will come off the bench in Wednesday's season opener against the Heat, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Jalen Suggs will replace Jones in the starting lineup after the latter started during the preseason. Jones should still be a decent source of assists from the second unit this year.
