Markus Howard: Not extended qualifying offer

Howard wasn't extended a qualifying offer by the Jazz on Thursday and became an unrestricted free agent, Vinny Benedetto of The Denver Gazette reports.

Howard has spent the past two seasons with the Nuggets seeing limited action. Last year, he averaged 4.1 points in 5.7 minutes across 31 appearances. He might garner interest from rebuilding teams as a development option.
