Harris was assigned Friday to the D-League's Texas Legends, Dwain Price of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Harris, who was signed to a 10-day contract by the Mavericks earlier in the week, played two minutes in Friday's win over the Nets, marking his first NBA appearance since 2013-14. He's expected to suit up for the Legends in their game Saturday against the Austin Spurs and will be in line for much more extensive run than he would have had he remained with the Mavericks for their game Saturday against the Suns.
