Dinwiddie scored a team-high 36 points (11-22 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 12-13 FT) while adding seven assists and two rebounds in 36 minutes during Saturday's 114-113 win over the Kings.
Getting a spot start at point guard in place of Luka Doncic (toe), Dinwiddie didn't come close to a Doncic-like triple-double but at least did a more than adequate job replacing his scoring as he set a new season high in that category. Dinwiddie has looked much more comfortable in his role with the Mavericks than he did to begin the season with the Wizards, and over the last five games he's averaging 22.2 points, 6.0 assists, 2.2 threes and 2.0 boards.
