Vasquez (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Bulls, Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders reports.
Vasquez left Saturday's game against the Bucks with a sore right ankle and didn't return. Given that he missed most of last season after requiring surgery on that same ankle, it's possible that Vasquez is dealing with a setback that could keep him sidelined for a little while. Until the Nets offer up a different timetable, Vasquez should be viewed as day-to-day heading into Wednesday's game against the Pistons. With the Nets now thin on point-guard depth behind Jeremy Lin, we could see Sean Kilpatrick to help take on some of the ball-handling duties for the second unit if rookie Isaiah Whitehead isn't up to the task.
