Former standout Danny Granger will almost certainly be waived by the Pistons before the regular season begins on Tuesday, per the team website.
Granger wasn't able to play at all this preseason as he has been rehabbing after undergoing a second knee surgery last summer. The former All-Star has evolved into an NBA journeyman late in his career, having stints with four teams in the past two seasons. Granger could never bounce back to full form after missing all but five games in the 2012-13 season to injury.
