Russ Smith: Signs on with D-League

Smith signed a contract with the D-League on Tuesday, Chris Reichert of Upside & Motor reports.

Smith was released by the Grizzlies shortly after Christmas, and after failing to attract from an NBA squad, he'll attempt to rebuild some value in the D-League. The second-year point guard previously appeared in 15 contests for the Grizzlies this season, averaging 1.5 points in 4.4 minutes per game.
