Hickson provided limited support off the bench during the 2015-16 season, appearing in only 35 games and averaging 5.9 points per contest.
Hickson's role during the 2015-16 season was simply to provide depth. He appeared in 20 games for Denver, starting nine of them due to various injuries to teammates, but only saw action three times after Dec. 8. In February, the Nuggets bought out his contract and he then signed with Washington, but Hickson's role didn't increase as he remained behind Nene and Marcin Gortat on the depth chart. Despite limited minutes this season, the center still shot the ball well, hitting over 50 percent of his shots. Hickson will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.
