Austin has been waived by the Cavaliers on Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Austin didn't have much of a shot at making the regular-season roster with the Cavaliers, so this transaction isn't a surprise. He's expected to link up with the Cleveland Charge of the G League.
