  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Available to play

Jones (hamstring) is available for Friday's game in Cleveland. Jones is dealing with some tightness in his left hamstring, but he'll push through it and get out there for Friday's contest. Jones had a double-double during Wednesday's win over the Cavs and has racked up five steals over the past two games.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Upgraded to probable

Jones (hamstring) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game against the Cavaliers. Jones was previously considered questionable, but he's on track to suit up against Cleveland. Over his last three outings, he has produced averages of 7.7 points, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Iffy for Friday

Jones is questionable for Friday's game against the Cavaliers due to left hamstring tightness. This is a new issue for Jones, but the questionable tag suggests that he's going to be day-to-day moving forward. Over his last three outings, Jones has averaged 7.7 points, 7.0 assists and 1.7 steals in 24.5 minutes per contest.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Double-doubles in win

Jones registered 11 points (5-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), one rebound, 11 assists and three steals in 24 minutes during Wednesday's 127-111 victory over the Cavaliers. Jones recorded just his second double-double of the season, doing all of his work in only 24 minutes. All in all, it's been a strong season for Jones, putting up top-75 value in standard leagues, averaging 12.4 points, 5.2 assists and 1.7 steals in 28.0 minutes per game. While there are still doubts when it comes to his long-term role, his assist and steal numbers are consistent enough to at least warrant attention in the majority of leagues. The eventual return of Ayo Dosunmu from a thumb injury will complicate things, but until then, feel free to give Jones a look if he is available.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Scores six points in return

Jones had six points (3-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and five assists in 25 minutes during Friday's 129-126 win over the Hornets. Jones returned from a three-game absence as a result of an ankle injury, delivering an underwhelming performance. While he has been a top-80 player thus far this season, much of Jones' value has come during times when the roster is depleted. He should be able to maintain an every-night role, but the scope for top-100 production will continue to be reliant on the availability of others.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Out again Sunday

Jones (ankle) will remain on the inactive list for Sunday's game versus the Warriors, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports. Sunday will mark Jones' third consecutive game on the sidelines, but the good news is that the Bulls don't play again until Friday in Charlotte, giving Jones another four full days to rest up. Ayo Dosunmu (thumb) and Coby White will help pick up the slack in Jones' absence.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Out again Friday

Jones (ankle) will remain on the inactive list for Friday's game versus the Pacers, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports. Friday will be the second straight game on the sidelines for Jones, and with Ayo Dosunmu (thumb) joining him on the inactive list, Jevon Carter could be slated for major minutes as one of the last men standing in Chicago's backcourt. Jones' next chance to play will come Sunday against the Warriors.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Now questionable for Wednesday

Jones is now questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nets due to a left ankle sprain. After initially being considered probable, Jones is trending in the wrong direction Wednesday. With a litany of Bulls players on the injury report, Ayo Dosunmu and Jevon Carter both could be in line for an expanded role.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Nets 20 points on 10 shots

Jones finished Monday's 125-120 loss to the Magic with 20 points (7-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-5 FT), one rebound and three assists over 30 minutes. Jones has been hot over the past four games, churning out averages of 15.8 points on 68.8 percent shooting from the field and 81.0 percent at the stripe to go with 5.0 assists and 1.3 steals a night. He did briefly exit Monday's game late in the fourth quarter after tweaking his left ankle, but he returned a few possessions later and was on the floor for crunch time, so he should be fine for Wednesday's matchup with the Nets.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Quiet in win Saturday

Jones registered 10 points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 26 minutes during Saturday's 121-120 victory over the Wizards. Jones played through an ongoing ankle concern, although he failed to deliver anything of note. While it has been a strong start to the season, Jones' value could be about to trend in the wrong direction. Coby White recently returned from a calf injury and looks to be ramping up to full speed. Jones is someone to monitor closely in standard formats, but he could become a drop candidate moving forward.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Available Saturday

Jones (ankle) is available for Saturday's game against the Wizards, Will Gottlieb of AllCHGO.com reports. Jones will play in the second leg of Chicago's back-to-back set, though he's expected to remain on a minutes restriction. The 25-year-old guard returned from a three-game absence due to an ankle impingement in Friday's loss to Miami, posting six points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 18 minutes.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Expected to play Saturday

Jones (ankle) is probable for Saturday's game against the Wizards. After missing three straight games, Jones returned to action during Friday's loss to the Heat and played 18 minutes off the bench. Due to the limited workload, Jones is on track to suit up for the second half of Chicago's back-to-back set as well, but it'd be surprising if he saw over 20 minutes Saturday.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Iffy for Friday

Jones (ankle) is questionable for Friday's game against the Heat. Jones has a chance to end a three-game absence with an ankle impingement. The guard could test out his ankle during pregame warmups before the Bulls update his status. Should Jones be unavailable, more playing time will be available for Ayo Dosunmu and Kevin Huerter in the backcourt.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Questionable for Wednesday

Jones (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game in Portland. Jones has missed the past two games for Chicago, but there's a chance he'll be able to get back out there for Wednesday's contest. It'll be interesting to see what his minutes and role look like with Coby White back in the mix.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Plays well in loss

Jones contributed 15 points (6-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, five assists and one steal across 34 minutes during Sunday's 128-116 loss to the Knicks. Jones has had a terrific start to the campaign, and he's likely to hold onto his current role until Coby White (calf) is able to return -- White is due to be re-evaluated soon. With the way Jones has been playing, the Bulls may want to look for ways to keep him heavily involved in the rotation.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Stuffs stat sheet in win

Jones registered 13 points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-8 FT), five rebounds, eight assists and five steals across 29 minutes during Saturday's 110-98 victory over the Magic. Jones wasn't overly aggressive on the offensive end but still managed to score in double figures. He also packed the stat sheet with his effort as a facilitator and on the defensive end. Jones has shown that he can provide value for fantasy managers in various ways through the first two games of the season, totaling 25 points, 16 assists and eight steals in back-to-back victories. The 25-year-old should continue to see his name in the starting lineup until Coby White (calf) is cleared to return.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Will play Thursday

Jones (foot) will play in Thursday's exhibition against the Timberwolves, Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic reports. Billy Donovan did say that Jones will be operating with some minutes restrictions, so it sounds like the foot issue isn't quite 100 percent yet. Still, it's encouraging that he's suiting up for a meaningless game, so barring a setback, he should be fine for Opening Night.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Doesn't practice Monday

Jones did not participate in Monday's practice due to a foot injury, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports. Per Johnson, Jones could still play in Tuesday's exhibition, so this foot issue seems very minor. Check back closer to Tuesday's tip for official confirmation on Jones' status.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Starting Thursday

Jones is in the starting lineup for Thursday's exhibition against the Cavs. Jones will replace Kevin Huerter in the starting unit for Chicago's second preseason game, and he'll be joined by Josh Giddey, Isaac Okoro, Matas Buzelis and Zach Collins.

  • Bulls' Tre Jones: Inks deal with Chicago

Jones (foot) agreed to a three-year, $24 million deal with the Bulls on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Jones will return to Chicago after initially being acquired by the team via trade in February. The 25-year-old point guard appeared in 18 regular-season games (nine starts) with the Bulls in 2024-25, averaging 11.5 points, 4.9 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals while shooting 57.2 percent from the field across 25.2 minutes per game. Jones missed the team's final 12 regular-season outings after suffering a sprained left foot, though he's expected to be ready for training camp.
