  • Jalen Smith PF | CHI

Bulls' Jalen Smith: Good to go Friday

Smith (hamstring) will play on a 20-minute restriction during Friday's game against the Hornets, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

After missing five consecutive contests due to a left hamstring strain, Smith will return to action against Charlotte. The big man will likely split time with Zach Collins (wrist) behind starter Nikola Vucevic, assuming Collins ditches his probable tag. Over his last five appearances, Smith has averaged 9.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.6 blocks in 19.6 minutes per contest.

  • Isaac Okoro SF | CHI

Bulls' Isaac Okoro: Available with minutes limit

Okoro (back) is available and starting with a minutes restriction of approximately 20 minutes in Friday's game against the Hornets, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

Okoro is wrapping up an eight-game absence with a back injury, so it's not surprising that Chicago has a cap on his playing time. Still, the swingman will return to the starting lineup right away. For the campaign, Okoro has averaged 8.2 points, 2.7 rebounds. 1.6 assists and 1.2 three-pointers in 24.9 minutes per game across 15 appearances.

  • Coby White PG | CHI

    Bulls' Coby White: Available Friday

White (calf) is available for Friday's game against the Hornets, K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network reports.

As expected, White will shed his probable tag due to right calf tightness and suit up in his third straight game. The 25-year-old guard has averaged 17.0 points, 3.5 assists and 2.0 rebounds across 25.5 minutes per tilt in his last two outings following a three-game absence.

  • Tre Jones PG | CHI

Bulls' Tre Jones: Available with minutes restriction

Jones (ankle) is available with a minutes restriction of about 24 minutes for Friday's game against the Hornets, per K.C. Johnson of Chicago Sports Network.

Jones will return following a three-game absence due to a left ankle sprain, but the Bulls are taking a cautious approach with his playing time. Over his last six outings, the floor general has averaged 13.2 points, 3.8 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 26.2 minutes per game.

  • Tre Johnson SG | WAS

Wizards' Tre Johnson: Will be limited Friday

Head coach Brian Keefe said Johnson (hip) will play on an unspecified minutes restriction in Friday's game against Cleveland, Ben Strober of 106-7 The Fan Washington reports.

Johnson will return from a seven-game absence due to a left hip flexor strain, though he won't see a full workload. The rookie first-rounder has appeared in 15 regular-season games (four starts) thus far, averaging 11.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 24.3 minutes per contest.

  • Tyrese Maxey PG | PHI

76ers' Tyrese Maxey: Won't play Friday

Maxey (illness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pacers, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.

Maxey is under the weather and will miss his first game of the season. With the star point guard sidelined, Jared McCain and Quentin Grimes are candidates for increased roles, while Kyle Lowry could enter the rotation. Maxey's next opportunity to play will come Sunday against the Hawks.

  • Moussa Diabate PF | CHA

Hornets' Moussa Diabate: Upgraded to available

Diabate (knee) is available for Friday's game against the Bulls.

The expectation was that Diabate would be able to play through a knee problem, given that the Hornets upgraded him to probable earlier Friday. Over his last 11 games, the 23-year-old center has averaged 7.9 rebounds, 7.0 points, 1.7 assists and 0.7 blocks in 21.8 minutes per contest.

  • Kam Jones PG | IND

Pacers' Kam Jones: Questionable for Friday

Jones (back) is questionable for Friday's game against the 76ers.

Jones is working his way back from a stress reaction in his back and has yet to make his debut this season, but the rookie second-rounder is inching closer to doing so. Even if he's cleared to play, he's not expected to play a sizable role in the rotation.

  • Timberwolves' Anthony Edwards: Won't play Friday

Edwards (foot) will not play Friday against the Warriors.

Edwards was unable to shake his questionable tag and will miss his first game since Nov. 3. With Edwards out of the lineup, Donte DiVincenzo and Julius Randle will likely soak up more usage, while players such as Terrence Shannon, Bones Hyland and Jaylen Clark could see extended run.

  • Riley Minix SF | SA

Riley Minix: Waived by San Antonio

The Spurs are waiving Minix (undisclosed) on Friday, per Michael Scotto of USA Today.

San Antonio is letting go of Minix to free up a two-way roster spot for Kyle Mangas. Minix is dealing with an undisclosed injury, which could affect how much attention he draws in the NBA, but the expectation is that he'll continue to play with the G League's Austin Spurs.
