49ers' Chris Thompson: Back in San Francisco

Thompson signed a contract with the 49ers on Wednesday.

Thompson was waived by the 49ers earlier in training camp, and now rejoins the team in a depth capacity. The third-year wideout faces long odds to make the 53-man roster, but it's somewhat encouraging that San Francisco was interested enough to give him a second chance.
