Ameer Speed: Let go with injury settlement

The Bears waived Speed (undisclosed) from injured reserve with an injury settlement Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

It's not clear what type of issue Speed is dealing with, but he had reverted to injured reserve last week after clearing waivers. Because he and Chicago worked out an injury settlement, Speed will be able to play in 2025 if he returns to health and finds work with another club.
