Brown (ankle) is out for Sunday's game in Washington, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.

A third straight absence leaves Tyler Johnson with another shot to step in as the No. 3 receiver, or perhaps even a shot at the No. 2 role if Chris Godwin (foot) isn't able to play. Godwin appears headed for a 'questionable' designation on the final injury report, while coach Bruce Arians left the door open for Scotty Miller (toe) to be activated from IR. It's not quite clear how it'll all shake out, but it is clear Brown will be out of the equation for at least one more game. He did ditch his walking boot this week, perhaps setting the stage for a return to practice next week ahead of a Monday night matchup with the Giants on Nov. 2.
