Dolphins' Brennan Scarlett: Gets put on IR

Scarlett (knee) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.

Scarlett suffered the injury during the Dolphins' win over the Jets on Sunday. The injury is not expected to be season ending, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Scarlett plays a rotational role in the Dolphins' linebacker unit while also chipping in on special teams, so there's a variety of options Miami could take to help fill his role. He has 17 tackles (five solo) on the season.
