When the Giants fired offensive coordinator Jason Garrett this week there were lots of jokes, memes and self-congratulating tweets. However, surrounding the Giants offense moving forward, there are also lots of questions. One of them is whether Evan Engram can fulfill his potential with Garrett out of the picture.
To be clear, Engram has struggled with things before Garrett, and I don't think Garrett was causing all those drops. But the fact is that Engram averaged more targets, catches, and yards per game before Garrett became the team's offensive coordinator. The 27-year-old tight end averaged 11.98 PPR FPPG from 2017-19. The past two years that's fallen to 8.6.
The fact that Engram is facing an Eagles defense that has been the worst against the tight ends this season only helps matters. And as of Friday afternoon we're losing hope that we'll see either Sterling Shepard or Kadarius Toney in Week 12.
If Shepard and Toney are ruled out, Engram will likely move into the top 12 in the projections below and he has even more upside than that. He's also available in 60% of leagues.
Here's everything else you need to know about tight end in Week 12:
It hasn't quite shown up the Fantasy production yet because of lack of touchdowns, but Goedert's target share and efficiency portend elite Fantasy production.
Arnold's price cratered even faster than his roster rate. I love him in tournaments.
