Washington placed Settle on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.
According to JP Finlay of NBC Sports Washington, Settle tested positive for the virus, which means that if vaccinated, he'll need to be asymptomatic for a 48-hour period and return two negative COVID-19 tests at least 24 hours apart in order to make himself eligible to play Sunday in Philadelphia. While the Washington defensive line was shorthanded due to a number of COVID-19-related absences in Week 14, Settle played a season-high 27 defensive snaps and totaled three tackles in Washington's loss to Dallas.
