Joshua Perry: Waived/injured Saturday

Perry (head) was waived/injured on Saturday, ESPN's Eric D. Williams reports.

Given Perry was a fourth-round pick by the Chargers in 2016, it's a bit of a surprise to see the former Ohio State prospect wind up in free agency. However that likely suggests Perry's head injury, which he suffered during the team's final preseason contest, could be worse than originally predicted. He should revert to injured reserve should he pass through waivers.
