Matt Gono: Cut by Atlanta

Gono and the Falcons mutually agreed to part ways Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

Gono's contract was set to expire at the start of the league year, but by being waived now, he'll have more time to negotiate a new deal elsewhere. Rapoport reports that Gono is fully recovered from the shoulder surgery that caused him to miss the entire 2021 season, so he should garner interest from teams in search of offensive line help.
