Nathan Cottrell: Reaches settlement

Cottrell (undisclosed) was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement by the Jaguars on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.

Cottrell was waived with an injury designation on Aug. 7, and was reverted to IR the next day after going unclaimed. Now that he's negotiated an injury settlement, he'll be free to seek opportunity elsewhere once he's healthy.
