Collins (groin) didn't practice Thursday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports.

Earlier Thursday, coach Pete Carroll was optimistic about Collins participating in practice, telling Boyle, "He's going to practice today, so that's a good sign." The comment came on the heels of Collins looking "OK" during Thursday's walkthrough, but the running back apparently was unable to mix into any drills on the practice field, individual or otherwise. Fortunately for Collins, he'll have two more chances to do so before the Seahawks make a determination on his potential to play Monday against the Saints. Further down the RB depth chart, there's also optimism that Rashaad Penny (IR/calf) will return to practice soon, but when it comes to healthy bodies DeeJay Dallas and Travis Homer are the only backs who can claim such status at the moment.
