Sean Davis: Released by Indianapolis

The Colts released Davis on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Davis linked up with the Colts back in April and appeared destined to secure a depth role at safety, but the veteran will now have to look for a chance elsewhere. He mostly contributed on special teams in 16 appearances with the Steelers last season.
