Welinski was released from his professional tryout by the Blues on Friday, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
The defenseman last played in the NHL during the 2020-21 season with the Ducks. He was unable to find the scoresheet in 13 games. Welinski split last season between Hartford and Rockford of the AHL, scoring four goals and adding 15 assists in 54 contests.
