Byram (head) skated in a regular jersey Monday, indicating that he's been cleared for contact, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports.
Byram has been sidelined since Jan. 10, and while he remains without a firm return timetable, this is a major step in the right direction. The 20-year-old defenseman won't make his return later Monday against the Oilers, but perhaps another update on his health will surface prior to Wednesday's game against the Canucks.
