Avalanche's Valeri Nichushkin: Hot hand continues

Nichushkin had a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.

Nichushkin put the Avs up 1-0 with a shorthanded goal early in the second. His teammate forced a turnover by a Habs' defender and passed to the winger, who had just come off the bench. Nichushkin fired a one-timer that trickled through Jake Allen and into the net. He's riding a three-game, four-point streak (two goals, two assists) and now has 11 points in the same number of games this season.
