Bobby Ryan: Cut by Wings

Ryan was released from his professional tryout with Detroit on Monday.

Despite making it to the final days of training camp, Ryan wasn't able to secure a permanent contract with the Wings. With his release, the 34-year-old New Jersey native could be an option for other NHL clubs looking for veteran experience considering he's played in 866 games for Anaheim, Ottawa and Detroit.
