Renouf has been placed on waivers, according to Matt Porter of The Boston Globe.
Renouf played last season with Grand Rapids of the AHL and should he pass through waivers, he will head to Providence of the AHL. The 28-year-old is a depth player and likely will not see a lot of NHL action unless there's a slew of injuries to the Bruins defensive corps.
