Canadiens' Cameron Hillis: Clears protocols, heads to AHL

The Canadiens removed Hillis from COVID-19 protocols and reassigned him to AHL Laval on Wednesday.

Hillis debuted Jan. 1 as a replacement amidst Montreal's COVID-19 outbreak but is no longer needed now that several regular forwards have cleared protocols. It would likely take another outbreak or a handful of injuries for the 21-year-old to see NHL ice time again this season.
