Canadiens' Sammy Blais: Claimed by Montreal

Blais was claimed off waivers by the Canadiens from Toronto on Thursday, per Chris Johnston of The Athletic.

Blais was claimed by Toronto from Montreal before the start of the season and returns to the Habs, who inked him to a one-year contract July 1. Blais had a goal and two assists in eight games with Toronto. Montreal has reassigned Blais to AHL Laval.
