Canadiens' Samuel Montembeault: Claimed by Montreal

The Canadiens claimed Montembeault off waivers Saturday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Carey Price (knee) is still iffy for Opening Night, so Montembeault will add some goaltending depth for Montreal. The 24-year-old netminder went 8-4-1 while posting a 2.86 GAA and an .898 save percentage in 13 games with AHL Syracuse last season.
