Capitals' Ivan Miroshnichenko: Sent to minors Monday

Miroshnichenko was loaned to AHL Hershey on Monday.

Miroshnichenko made 18 regular-season appearances for the Capitals last year, and he racked up a goal, three assists, 28 hits and eight blocked shots while averaging 9:21 of ice time. He'll likely spend plenty of time in the AHL this year but should be a candidate to provide additional depth in the NHL at some point.
