Devils' Colton White: Waived by New Jersey

White was waived by the Devils on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Ty Smith (undisclosed) will be activated off injured reserve and make his season debut Saturday against the Sabres, so the Devils are no longer in need of White's services on the back end. White will likely bounce between levels throughout the campaign.
