Pelech was placed in the league's COVID-19 protocols Saturday, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
Pelech, along with Andy Greene and Anthony Beauvillier, bring the team's COVID-19 absences up to six. Even if he remains asymptomatic, Pelech should be expected to miss the next 10 days, which would see him shelved for the Isles' next five contests.
