Islanders' Ken Appleby: Recalled from AHL

Appleby was called up from AHL Bridgeport on Thursday.

Appleby was promoted as Semyon Varlamov was given a maintenance day off from practice Thursday. Appleby was 5-4-0 with a 2.86 GAA and an .898 save percentage in 10 AHL appearances before his recall.
