Islanders' Ken Appleby: Waived by Islanders

Appleby was waived by the Islanders on Friday, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports.

The Islanders have yet to announce it, but this transaction suggests Appleby signed a two-way contract with New York before being placed on waivers Friday. The 25-year-old netminder has posted a 2.50 GAA and an .896 save percentage in two appearances with AHL Bridgeport this season.
