Jets' Axel Jonsson-Fjallby: Waived by Winnipeg

Jonsson-Fjallby was placed on waivers by the Jets on Thursday with the intent to assign him to AHL Manitoba, Mitchell Clinton of the Jets' official site reports.

Jonsson-Fjallby made 26 regular-season appearances with Winnipeg last year, tallying two goals and five points while averaging 8:07 of ice time. He'll likely begin this year in the minors but could be called up as a depth option at some point.
