Kings' Nick Ebert: Recalled from AHL Ontario

Ebert was recalled from AHL Ontario on Monday.

Ebert has provided four assists and a plus-7 rating through 16 games with AHL Ontario this season, and the 2012 seventh-round pick has finally earned a chance to play with the parent club. If the 21-year-old were to draw into the lineup, it would represent his NHL debut, but there's no guarantee of that with eight defensemen currently on the roster. The timing of Ebert's recall is a bit peculiar, and while it's possible the Kings are just adding some depth along the blue line in the midst of a six-game road trip, it could also indicate one of the defenseman is suffering from an injury of some kind.
