Kraken's Michal Kempny: Hits waivers

Kempny (upper body) was placed on waivers Sunday by the Kraken.

Kempny had been dealing with an upper-body injury during training camp. He will be sent to the minors if he clears. Kempny was limited to just 15 NHL appearances last year with Washington due to injuries.
